The Academy's seventh and eighth grade students performed a spiritually moving rendition of The Passion of our Lord for the entire student body, faculty and parents on Friday, March 18. It was a poignant and gratifying performance.
As eighth grader William Cosgrove respectfully portrayed the role of Jesus, he provided insight into the spiritual and physical suffering that took place during Jesus’ final twelve hours. Students tenderly sang “Jesus, Remember Me” and “Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?” as the setting on stage highlighted the magnitude of Jesus’ sacrifice for our salvation.
At the close of the program, the students were reminded of their privilege and obligation to participate in Holy Week services at their respective churches, and how Easter is the greatest triumph that Christians celebrate.
