Source of Inspiration

I have always wanted to be a teacher from the day I walked the halls of ASA myself as a student. I have fond memories of the kind words and encouragement from my teachers which helped me to become more confident. I remember feeling they made a difference in my life and I want to make that kind of difference in the lives of my students.

What I have learned from my Students

I have learned how important my actions and words are to them. A smile or a kind word really does
make all the difference to them.

My favorite book

“A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeline L’Engle. I am currently reading this with my 6th grade class.

Quote to live by

“ Do the best you can until you know better, then when you know better, do better”
–Maya Angelou

When I was a student I wanted to be…

… a teacher as mentioned above but even more than that I wanted to be the next Oprah Winfrey.
