Students young and old experience a range of emotions during the Academy’s annual Armenian Week. It’s a somber time as students remember the genocide and our martyrs yet an exciting week as it coincides with book fair. Students create wish lists of books in both Armenian and English, and have the opportunity to purchase hand made items imported directly from Armenia. Academy librarian Fran Torcomian transforms the library into a literary wonderland as tables and bookshelves are piled high with books for all ages. Everyone benefits from the book fair - students come away with Armenian pieces and great reading while the library earns new books!
