The 100th day of school is always cause for celebration (and an interesting math lesson) in the Academy’s first grade classroom. Students were asked to bring in 100 items, and their creativity shined they brought stickers, crayons, buttons, screws, pipe cleaners and food (Trix cereal, marshmallows and m & m’s!) to practice. Counting by 10‘s, 5‘s and 2‘s had never been so much fun. They even signed a poster hanging on Sister Emma’s door with one hundred signatures. Way to go first grade!
